Improvement of human lives cannot be uncoupled from acquisition of the right knowledge. Lafon County is inhabited by almost 200,000 people, with poverty rate at 99% (daily income per a family less than 1 USD per a day).

What We Do
The core aspect of poverty is either lack or insufficiency of knowledge.
FHBOF focus fundamentally on education in all its aspect (formal and informal one).
The provision of knowledge is targeted at the needs of the local population:
- Formal Classroom Education.
- Food security.
- Health and Sanitation Awareness,
- Social Issues (gender-based violence, early marriage, encouraging participation of females on community decision making, integration of differently abled people in the society, children rights, civic education, and encouraging peaceful coexistence with neighbours).
FHBOF takes a further step, and this is what distinguishes it from many:
impact projects so that they are also able to develop other communities.
To achieve these, the communities we work with are directly involve and take responsibility of the whole project from beginning to the end.
